At Kind Minds Collective, we believe that mental health care should be accessible, transparent, and grounded in dignity, honoring your whole self and your financial realities. Like our community-centered peers, we offer a range of fee options designed to meet you where you are and support sustained healing — without stigma or justification.
Sessions are typically 45–55 minutes and grounded in trauma-informed, relational, feminist, and culturally responsive frameworks. We integrate modalities such as EMDR, somatic approaches, and liberation-focused therapy. We believe transparency and collaboration matter—session length and financial investment are always discussed together. Longer sessions (e.g., 90 minutes) are available and offered at adjusted rates based on individual care needs.
For individuals with consistent financial security who want their care investment to help widen access for others. Choosing this pathway is an act of solidarity — supporting reduced-rate and community sessions within the practice.
For individuals managing expenses carefully — including high cost of living, caregiving responsibilities, student loans, or variable income — while still able to invest meaningfully in care.
A small number of sessions are reserved for individuals experiencing acute financial hardship or systemic marginalization. These offerings are part of our commitment to mutual care and collective wellness.
A superbill is a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company if you have out-of-network benefits. It includes the information insurers typically require—such as diagnosis and service codes, session dates, and fees paid.
After each session or upon request, we can provide you with a superbill to submit directly to your insurance provider. If approved, your insurance company may reimburse you for a portion of your session cost, depending on your specific plan and benefits.
Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed and varies by insurer and plan. Clients are responsible for payment at the time of service and for communicating directly with their insurance company regarding coverage, reimbursement rates, and claim status.
For clients seeking to use insurance, we offer in-network therapy through Headway. Headway partners with major insurance providers and manages insurance verification, claims submission, and billing on your behalf. Headway accepts Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Oxford, United Healthcare, and Oscar.
When working in-network, your insurance company pays a contracted portion of the session fee, and you are responsible only for your plan’s required copay, coinsurance, or deductible. These costs vary by plan and are determined by your insurer.
Headway handles the administrative side of insurance billing, allowing therapy sessions to remain focused on care rather than paperwork. Coverage, session limits, and out-of-pocket costs are set by your insurance plan, and we encourage clients to confirm benefits directly with their insurer prior to starting services.
